EXTREMELY BAD SERVICES... WE WERE THE FIRST ONE IN A EMPTY RESTAURANT... WE ORDERED OUR FOOD AT 4:30 PM AND THEY GAVE OUR FOODS... AT 5:15 PM PARTIALLY... DUMPLINGS THEN WE HAD TO ASK ABOUT OUR RICE AND THEY WERE SERVING 4 OTHERS TABLE WHILE WE WERE WAITINGFOR OUR FULL ORDER... WE ASKED AGAIN THEY REPEATED THAT IT WAS COMING BUT THEY WERE SERVING OTHER TABLES AGAIN... OUR DUMPLINGSWERE COLD AND ONE RICE ONLY CAME... THEY WERE NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL... This trip to Chinatown was part of my ME day, and my self-care regimen. I decided to treat myself not cheat myself this... evening. Been desiring this meal for about 2 weeks.. I ordered eggplant with garlic sauce and steamed vegetable dumplings. Haveto order (separately; Ala Carte) the white rice, as it doesn't come with the eggplant with garlic sauce entree. The eggplant was$15.95, but as you can see I had a good sized platter to enjoy there and take home for a day or two. The dumplings come six (6)to an order. Price was $6.95. What I like about these dumplings are the creative leaf design of the wrapping. As well, thedumpling wrappers are green. Sort of a specialty wrapper, as everyone doesn't have this but used the standard dumpling wrappersand color. It taste good and the sauce compliments the dumplings. Bathroom & restaurant were clean. They accept cash andcards. If using credit cards/debit cards, there's a $15 minimum order to use card. They have lunch specials of some of yourfavorites for ONLY $9.00, but must get it before 3 or possibly 3:30pm Mon -Fri only. Comes with main entree, rice and I believea soup for the $9.00 pricetag. I was feeling adventurous- walking into a restaurant without checking ratings first. Boy, was that a bad idea. We ordered the... beef with broccoli, which was quite tasteless. But that was honestly much better than their General Tsao?s, which was quite adisaster on the taste. Service was also generally lackluster- spotty, at best. The restaurant is relatively big comparing to other Chinese restaurants nearby. The decor looks out of date. The carpet needs... some deep clean or completely replaced. We came here on a Sunday afternoon at around 4pm. The restaurant was not too busy so thefood came out quickly. We ordered Shanghai style stir fry rice cake, sautéed smoked pork. They were tasty and authentic. Theingredients were fresh. The spicy cabbage was a disappointment though. It was not spicy at all and too sweet. The service wasokay. Read more
