We took a trip to colbies and we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious! After we all had delicious lunch... entrees, we ordered a couple different desserts to share. We will absolutely be back!!! Read more
I have been here before and questioned whether the chicken was over done. We chalked it up to them just recently opening.... However, we seemed to experience the same again. The chicken is definitely different and I wonder because breading is sweet itcan taste over done. We ordered two Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, one grilled and one crispy. The grilled seemed a littledry and the crispy seemed over cooked. The sweet potato fries were hot and crispy. The hush puppies were good just a little dry.Service was very good. Place is friggan DELICIOUS!! Service was nice. $36 for 2 HUGE sandwiches. Wife LOVES it. Huge pineapple slices on hers. Tons of... bacon on mine. Sauces were perfect. Fries bump. We stopped here to check it out for the first time. The Colbies Original was okay. The breading was mushy. It had an overall... sweet taste to it. Kinda like eating it on a Hawaiian roll. The Garlic Aioli they put on is full of flavor so all you get whileeating the chicken sandwich is sweetness and garlic. The fries were okay. The macaroni was lacking some flavor. My husband hadthe pulled chicken. He said it was okay but too much sauce. Fries were thick. Everyone working there seemed bored and just donewith everything. Since it was our first time there we had no clue how to order. When the girl asked which side we wanted withour meal I said mac and cheese. She was very curt and said it only comes with sweet potato fries or regular. We had no clue andthe menu is so huge with it's tiny writing we might have missed it. I?m going to start with all the negative comments, Oreos over wet? They seemed perfect to me and they tasted amazing! 3 in a... pack for $4 not bad at all. I see comments about there kids not liking something kids are kids they can be extremely picky withtexture etc. I just want to say this place was amazing from the best chicken sandwich I have ever had to the staff beingwonderful. I will definitely be back! This was our first time and best experience I have had at a dine in rest in a while.
