This place is busy for a reason - the food is good! The ordering situation is a little confusing with multiple touch screens... when you enter. Two screens are to order takeout and one screen is to put your name on the waitlist for a table. The waitlist isnice because they use Yelp so you don?t have to wait at the restaurant you can walk around until they text you that your tableis ready. The only negative thing was that we were seated at the bar and they had just wiped it down so it smelled very stronglyof bleach and threw off my appetite because the strong bleach smell mixed in when eating the ramen made it not taste very good. We are new in this town. This restaurant is one of my family's favorites. Especially my children love to eat here. Pork cutlet... is crispy. It is good with the curry sauce. Ramen is cooked so well. Kyu don is delicious. It is a little bit salty for me,though. Definitely worth to visit again. Read more
We went about 15 minutes after they opened. There were already 3 parties seated ahead of us at opening. Pretty... popular!! Service was very good. The waiters were polite and attentive!! Appetizers are od especially the pork buns and sausage, for ramen I went with tantan the broth is perfect in the middle not too... salty n sweet. Five stars for the food, 1 star for the bull with a blue bandana I asked for a pair of chopsticks n he threw iton the table like I'm a begger or something, worth a try but would never come back here to dine, I pay my money for food I don'tbeg for it so to be treating a customer in a rude way then even the food is good it is not worth coming back. Let me preface this by saying I do not enjoy driving through Newark DE even though there are many good restaurants here...... However Ramen Kumamoto has patron parking, which is awesome and makes it a little easier. I have only had the miso ramen so farbut it's very good. There's a couple things I wanted to point out here of note: the eggs are actually a tiny bit sweet, which isdifferent than other ramen places I've been to, but it's still great and they're cooked perfectly. Secondly, the pork is onpoint for how I personally believe pork ramen should be. Some places use pork that's akin to thinly sliced pork chops and thatisn't my preference. The pork belly is where it's at. The broth is good but I'd really like to try their Shoyu or Mayu nexttime, I think that style of broth would pair really well with the flavor of the seasoned eggs.
