I've been to the Poynt on several occasions but recently reserved the private dining room for our annual book club dinner. ... Janessa was very easy to work with in reserving the room and making arrangements. The staff night of the event was fantastic, just the right balance between being attentive but not rushing us. Then of course there was the food - braised short ribs werethe big winner, but everything from the tuna poke, dumplings and calamari to hot apple cider donuts for dessert, was justincredible. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening! Read more

Everyone in my family really enjoyed the Brunch menu back in 2019 and looked forward to experiencing The Poynt's Dinner menu... recently. However, we were rather disappointed with the outcome. It began with an underwhelming amount of calamari which for theprice should have been double the volume. Our son was super hungry and ordered the meatball pizza only to be severelyunimpressed with the amount of meat used. Although the flavor and texture of the dough was acceptable, thinly sliced meatballcross-sections were hardly the stuff to make this dish feel satisfying. One of us ordered the Cioppino fully expecting to dipcrusty bread in a savory fish broth with a hint of tomato; the seafood proved satisfactory but was swimming in a pool of thick, pasta red sauce...hardly resembling the "tomato broth" as advertised while the bread was charred without any seasonings or evena simple brush of oil to make an independent bite more desirable. The waitress tried to make good with an offer to replace thedish, but everyone else's food had already arrived, so there was no easy way to make up that time loss on a bustling weekendevening. Instead the kitchen boiled some pasta to be added to the dish (by request), even though that remedy took longer than itshould have. Overall this experience was bad enough to leave a sour taste in our mouths and caution us to choose wisely a morereputable culinary establishment before dropping that kind of money for that kind of let down. OK, the Swordfish Sandwich with the 'kick' was fantastic at our brunch today. I almost forgot how well swordfish can be... prepared. My wife had the homemade fried chicken sandwich and it was wonderfully hot and tender. Great atmosphere and friendlystaff. I really can't say much more. Read more

Beer came in warm glass. QR code menu instead of a real menu (didn’t bring phone). Waitress pressed the wrong button which... resulted in wrong meal being served. Had to cancel appetizer because it didn’t arrive before meal. Food was adequate, nothingspecial. To their credit, they took the late meal off the bill (hence one star). Read more
