Sara & Lauren were wonderful. This is not their regular shift but you?d never know that! Their personalities light up the... restaurant. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was bustling and you could hear laughter and chatter not just from theguests but also from the staff which was warming. Have ate there in the past, looked up their menu to prepare for the opening of the new Waffle House across the street from... Chapel Hill middle school. Was not on the property, not sure why Google wanted me to rate it. 5 stars based on my last visit. Beadvised a friend went to a Waffle House in Paulding county and had a simple meal with a waffle , he left a 20 to cover the mealand tip. I?m not sure of her name, which I should have gotten, but to describe her, she?s a Tall heavy set Caucasian woman. And she was... being extremely sarcastic and rude tonight because she couldn?t take accountability for messing up my order. She can not handlebeing in the restaurant world! Very unprofessional and I?m disgusted by her remarks and comments she yelled back to me after Itold her to listen carefully next time. I asked for a refund from the cash I paid for my food and she gave me the amount of thefood and decided to keep the $2 tip. And I asked for the tip back because she didn?t serve me to the best of her ability thenshe stated it wasn?t her fault but she got my order wrong. I ordered a grit bowl with hash brown mushrooms and toast and water.I had to remind her about my water when I got there. Then I looked in the bag no grits at all. So basically she THOUGHT I wanteda hash brown bowl as she stated. She told the cook she needs a bowl of grits but the cook had a line of plates to fill with foodso I didn?t want to wait because I?m traveling and had somewhere to go immediately so I asked for a refund. I am verydisappointed in this woman attitude tonight!!! I hope a manager will take this complaint and speak on it with this individual.I?ve been in the restaurant business for a long time and when you mess up a customer order either they get the item for freedepending on what it was or discount it but ESPECIALLY give it to them ASAP because they came first before the other orders. Went to waffle house in palmetto, got turned down with other customers inside which really made me kind of mad. Drove 10 mins... down to this location. Friendly employees, good spirits and great food. Totally night and day. If anyone is in palmetto areaplease save your self the headache and drive 10 more minutes down the road. Its worth it. I have many fond memories of dining at Waffle House restaurants throughout my lifetime. Early this morning, I dined at this... location and had the worst service that I've EVER experienced from a waiter/waitress. Her name was Liz. Her demeanor andappearance was offputting. She complained about having to explain to a customer why his takeout order was the price that it was.She then complained about the fact that Waffle House pricing changed from week to week. She sluggishly took my order, deliveredit, never once asked how my meal was, and once she finally delivered my check, took 10 minutes to pick up my debit card that Ilaid out immediately after she dropped the check. She ran my card and laid it down without saying "thank you". I was in themiddle of reading an article on my phone when she finally presented the check to me. Not a full minute had passed before sherudely blurted "Can you sign the receipt now?!" Taken by surprise, I questioned her why she demanded that I sign at that verymoment. She stated, "I am going to the restroom and I'm not going to wait until you get off of your phone!" I couldn't believeher audacity. I have worked in the restaurant/bar services industry for over ten years as a host, server, expo, bartender, andbeen in several management roles. I fully understand what is proper and acceptable behavior for front of the house employees andhave the experience to back up my claim. Liz was not only extremely rude to me as a paying customer, but a very poorrepresentative of your company and it's values.
