Booked a reservation on opentable for 1145am for which I received a confirmation text for. When we arrived, we were informed by... the restaurant next door that they decided not to open until 2pm. Thanks for the notice! Luckily, the other restaurant wasgreat. Read more
My husband and I stayed at the gurneys resort for our anniversary a couple of nights ago and decided to give pineapples a try! ... The food was good, view was insanely perfect and the atmosphere was right but our waitress, Olivia, was completely horrible. Wesat down at 7 with zero greetings or assistance until 7:22. She casually walked over with no acknowledgement of our wait timeand somehow managed to seem blatantly upset at us the entire dinner. Every time we asked for anything (check, credit card,drinks) it was literally a solid 20 minute wait full of attitude. She was straight up rude. The restaurant was not busy sothere was no reason we could see for such terrible service. Wouldn?t mind going back for a drink but would absolutely not stayif she was our waitress again. Bummer. I don't want to give this place five stars because I still think it's an undiscovered gem in Newport. It provides one of the... best views in Newport. It's usually busy, but the views outweigh the aggravation. It's a great spot to sneak away with yourother half and enjoy a couple drinks. Read more
