What a GEM of a restaurant....it's in the top 5 discussion of best of Boston hands down. The menu you can tell the chefs get... free range on what they want to do and work with. Everything from the moment we walked in with the Host and front of housestaff down the meal was perfect. All of the food was delicious. TLDR: scroll down to the bottom line. That's the God's honest truth. Let's start by saying that, as an "out of towner" we... couldn't find the restaurant at first but thank God we kept looking. The service here is 10 out of 10 - outstanding. Big wordson the menu that you don't understand, your wait staff will explain it to you. Drinks were amazing and came highly recommend;snacks to start were amazing - the pickled veggies and caramelize onion gouda dip we absolutely on point. The Berkshire PorkChop was one of the best chops I've ever had in my life! That's a bold claim, growing up on a pig farm! Also, ask about the winethat they've got open, sometimes they've got a bottle or two open and can get you a glass of something that isn't listed on thewine by the glass section. PHENOMENAL! Best meal i’ve eaten in Boston. Everything here is done with excellence. Small but charming restaurant. Staff are... skilled, competent and friendly. The drinks are amazing! I love the wine and the cocktails are made to perfection. Love thatthey’re seasonal. For appetizers, I recommend the kale & farro salad. The pork belly was also delicious. Entrees, thoughalways changing, have always been a 10/10. This time we got the chicken, pork chop, steak and swordfish. While all weredelicious, the combination of flavors on the perfectly cooked swordfish was my favorite. For dessert, the beignets are a must! Read more

Make sure you reserve, or you can wait quite a while. Sycamore has been in Newton Center for ages, and survived COVID, so it... was definitely done right. Small, simple menu that only has the good stuff. Berkshire pork chop, chicken liver pate, codcake...everything was well seasoned, fresh, clean, and full of flavor.
