Delicious food. Excellent service. The have a large menu. Some great choices not found in other Indian restaurants. They do a... section of Chinese- Indian dishes. The naan is unique - it\'s a thin buttery version I have never had before. They have a breadbasket that we need to take home.\n\nWe ordered samosas, garlic naan, the pulao, chicken korma, chicken vindaloo. The Korma wasdone perfectly. The chicken pieces could be bigger on both the dishes but overall everything was delicious.\n\nNewtown needs agood Indian restaurant. Read more

Our 4th time here! Amazing as always. Flavors and spices in every dish are perfect. Best naan ever!

This is a superb restaurant. Unbelievable! The Rajasthani lal mas is better than I’ve had in Rajasthan. The naan is huge. The... portions are generous. The food is uniformly tasty and the meats are tender. Highly recommended and worth a trip.Photos of lalmas - entree- and tandoori lamb chops -starter- all part of a lunch special Read more

First time trying Tamarind takeout and was very happy with the food. Everything seemed to be fresh made, good portion size and... flavors - although a bit heavy on the ghee and leaking into the bag.\n\nSome others have commented on the small portion sizecompared to other Indian restaurants in the area and I disagree - these are the smaller plastic containers but they are filledto the brim and are almost all meat - so two or more meals out of each entrée easily.\n\nBe warned Hot actually means Hot -like it should. Not deadly or painful but it is as advertised.\n\nWe tried three dishes and liked all three:\n\nLasooni PalakPaneer w/ Hot spice level\nRajasthani Laal Maas (Spicy) w/ Hot spice level\nLamb Pepper Masala w/ Hot spice level\n\nLasooniPalak Paneer was as expected, deep green color, rich thick texture but not overly creamy, and good firm paneer. I recommend amedium or mild heat for this.\n\nRajasthani Laal Maas & Lamb Pepper Masala are both very good but slightly different with thespices. Lot\'s of lamb or goat with good amount of sauce but both were a bit heavy on the ghee. The goat had a very richflavorful sauce while the masala was a bit less so. The meat was tender and delicious - just watch out for the sharp bones inthe goat. Read more
