This was my first time having Cuban food, but it will not be my last! The food was dynamite, and the cashier (who was also a... server) was super friendly. #vegetarian. Went to the D'Cuban Cafe in Norcross around 1:30 pm today. The place wasn't overcrowded; 4 other customers were... eating there. Other reviews say it can be pretty busy @ lunch time. The food tastes fresh, it's made fresh to order and the bowlwas filled to the top. I don't know what Cuban food is supposed to taste like, but this food was flavorful. The salsa servedwith it is pretty spicy. I got the Veggie Bowl for $8.95 with sauteed bell peppers and onions, their homemade mojo sauce. Servedwith white rice, black beans and sweet plantains. Personal taste: I'm not a fan of the plantains in the dish, I like the sweetpotatoes Flower Child serves better. But if you like plantains, you'll probably enjoy those. I think I also would have liked thewhole dish a bit better if I had added the avocado slices too since there's no meat in the dish. It would also be nice if therewas a plant based meat option (or even tofu) for the veggie bowl. Colorful decor with mismatched chairs and antiques. Read more
