Saw the fresh baked pies sign after walking through Donner Tunnels and had to stop. Mixed Berry Pie was delicious! Hostess was... friendly and funny. Liked the stickers on the bar. Will definitely be back to try the food! Read more
Walked in - plenty of seating. The waiter was obese, and sloppy, looking. That alone put me off from thinking the food was... worthy of their fine dining prices. This sloppy dressed waiter ignored me, until the couple near me told him (while pointingat me) to take my order and they?d let him know if they needed anything else It was clear to them and me, that he was going tohover and cater to their table, in hopes for a big tip, and ignore the woman that came in by herself. Not worth eatingsomewhere with prices on the menu indicating the service ought to be good. (Higher prices with a waiter who was offensive inappearance and demeanor). Great food and booze. Loved the nachos and the Bitter Bush Mule. Cute waitress too!
We just split a basic DSR Burger - it hit the spot after hiking! We usually order from the bar instead of waiting for table... service. Lettuce and tomato was fresh and ripe. Love the Thai meals on Fridays after 6 pm. You can pick up a map for free DiscGolf here. A sign at the bar says PCT - Pacific Crest Trail - through-hikers can arrange a shower, bunk and laundry here too. All other reviews about the ambiance and character of the place is right on.
