Authentic Japanese cuisine, top grade sashimi and the shrimp and vegetable tempura is the best I?ve ever tasted. Everything was... fresh and the owner was wonderful, the staff took very good care of us. The plum wine so fragrant and delicious, the sake wasvery good too. Sashimi were great but the katsu don was disappointing. Not much meat compared to the overwhelming amount of rice
Less than 18 hours ago, I ordered/purchased a to go order of hurricane sushi roll (comes with tuna salmon cucumber, masage... avocado no rice) from Kotobuki Japanese Restaurant & Bar (in the Ghent neighborhood of Norfolk Virginia). So I wanted to be adventurous and try the vegan stuff here.. Well it was okay but not something I'd try again. I got the vegan... salmon teriyaki and didn't really like it as much. I would love to try the regular salmon teriyaki to see if that's much better!One thing I loved about this place was the miso soup! Best I ever tasted! This is overall a nice restaurant with some amazingstaff members and I'd recommend it to everyone to give it a try. There is a whole vegan menu so I will try out a few other itemson there to see if I like it. I'm not vegan but I am vegan friendly! Read more
