This is a 1950's themed restaurant with rock and roll music playing in the background. I sat at the counter. Mondays are half... priced burgers at the Boomerang Diner so I ordered the JJ burger with fries and a tea to drink. The burger was hot off thegrill and tasted delicious. The fries were warm and crisp. The tea was good. The staff did a great job serving the customerseven though they were short staffed. The three servers moved quickly and service was still good. We usually go to porter but it was jammed like usually so decided to go to location on Classen. My two younger children with me... and my husband. I ordered dbl w fries he ordered pancake and sausage with scrambled eggs add cheese. We have been there for30mins ordered and everything. As we are waiting a gentleman comes in sits at next table.Every waitress in restaurant goes tohis table talking very loudly but not our waitress no she just stands there talking over our table to his table with otherwaitress 8mins later manager steps out goes to table starts chatting it up loudly as well so we have waited almost an hour forour food mind u. When I tried calling the phone to place a to go order, no one picked up the phone. When I went in I place my order and the food... was ready with in 8 minutes! The vibe here is awesome, super good food for a cheap price. The pictures they have up are so funto stare at. I loved how every table had menus permanently on them. I?m definitely coming back here. My sister in law ordered a big to-go order and a burger was forgotten along with the fries. I called and they remade it.... However my complaint is I ordered the old fashion and the burger was burnt. They weren?t that busy on the inside but I saw therewas a lot of to-go orders. Being this was the 1st time I have ever eaten there I will try it again but make sure your staffdouble checks the to-go orders and doesn?t send out burnt food.
