We had one of the worst meal we ever had. We invited two out of town friends, ordered pork taco, mac-cheese, linguini pasta,... mussels. All the dishes were underwhelming - pulled pork was old (from how many days not sure - it was Tuesday, Sun-Mon wasclosed, so at least three days). mac-cheese is bland, and pasta was soaked in sweet liquid. mussels were cold and seems preparedlong time ago. We loved this place, but seems it has gone down substantially. Read more

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at Public. We were in town for the weekend and looking forward to having a good meal... before we left, but Public did not deliver. After being seated, we waited over an hour for our food. The appetizer (shishitopeppers) was practically inedible as it was drenched in lemon juice, and both of our entrees were completely flavorless. Ourserver barely checked on us and offered no explanation for the delay, meanwhile he had plenty of time to yuk it up with thebartender while we waited and waited and...waited. This is the worst meal and service I've had in a long time and I regretspending $40 each on it. Do yourself a favor and eat at The Break Room in North Adams instead - the food is impeccable! Read more
