I?m going to start by saying that the owner was very helpful, but the value just doesn?t make sense? I understand that food... prices have soared and everyone is doing their best to deal with it, but the portions just don?t match the price. The ?salad? isso small it should be called garnish instead. I find it misleading to call it a side salad. Sorry but it?s just too expensivefor what it is. Wouldn?t return. Read more

We had a mixed take out experience here for lunch. We ordered 2 lobster rolls and added 2 beet & feta salads on the side. The... homemade roll and the chunks of lobster were delicious. However, they were missing the arugula and pickled onions- my sandwichhad none and my husband had 1 piece of arugula and 1 pickled onion (which was amazing when eaten with lobster so you want thepickled onions). Then our salads were regular side salads and not the beet & feta ones we had ordered. For a $50 lunch, it wouldhave been nice to get what we ordered but the lobster and roll were delicious so we'll probably try it again next year when weare in Cape May again and hope for better results. Chef Drew makes great food and understands the restaurant business well. I was impressed by his fantastic freshly made lobster... roll and homemade lemonade - both real treats! Lots of lobster on a delicious homemade roll, accompanied by a balsamic "saladshot." His quality ingredients and artful presentation really shined. I stopped by on a whim, intrigued by the menu andmodest building. (I'd driven by many times before without noticing his postage stamp-sized eatery.) I really enjoyed talkingwith Drew -- he is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all aspects of his business and the restaurant industry. Hehas persevered through COVID, hiring and training local staff, and his food ranks among the best Cape May has to offer. I urgeyou to give him a try. His limited menu is not cheap, but his well crafted food is truly is flavorful and of the highestquality. Read more

Sorry, I'm not out to bring a business down who is clearly trying to make a go of it but at the end of the day it's my $$$ being... spent. I get to judge if I got quantity and quality for the price and I clearly didn't. Food for 4 came in a boutique paperbag...no exaggeration. Salads came in a grocery store, plastic sample cup...no exaggeration. Each spring roll (3 total for 1meal) was about the length and thickness of a fat man's thumb. The owner is certainly trying but he won't be trying with mymoney anymore. The food tasted good but so do Oreos, however, Oreos don't cost $5 a cookie. There has to be a balance betweenwhat you get and what you pay. We came away with very little food at a very high price for what we got. Not falling for the "itcosts a lot so it must be worth it" trap. Finished hungry, spent a lot. Not coming back. Read more
