The food portions were excellent and the rice was amazing, maybe the best I?ve had for takeout in Miami. I ordered the griot... which I would have given 2 stars for the fact it was not fresh and crispy. It tasted as if that it been previously cooked orfried and reheated because it was extremely dry and not crispy. I would like to have given five stars because I could tell thisrestaurant serves really amazing food. But Grill is one of my favorites and it?s got to be freshly made where the hot oil isburning a hole through the Styrofoam it?s so freaking hot and fresh out the fryer. I would like to go back and try a differentmenu item that may be more freshly prepared. Read more
We visited the Griot305 during a recent trip to Miami. Good haitian food was on the list so we asked some locals as we were... staying in North Miami and this place came highly recommended. We came within an hour of closing but they still have a greatmusical selection & quaint outdoor seating so it was fine. I suggest going earlier in the day for the full experience. I orderedthe oxtail & they didn?t have enough for a full portion so the owner came to personally apologize & brought was left with myfried chicken which was still delicious. I had a neat watermelon soda with my meal which was perfect and different from theavailable selections in California. The customer service was top tier. I called in advance to ask some info. The guy answered the phone on time and was very pleasant. The servers were all very... pleasant. The food was delicious, I even have left overs. I ordered the diri blanc, sauce pois and legume; it came with friedplantains (hot and crispy). Next time, I plan on ordering the fish. It smelled so good and the customer that I saw ordering ittold me that the fish was his favorite menu item. Overall 10/10 would recommend. Read more
