I am generous with two stars; vacationing at my condo from out of town with my best friend. First impression the host had us... wait more than ten minutes while she was on the phone, she didn’t even bother to look at us. She stated outside was full, andsat us at a wobble shaky table; even though we made reservations weeks in advance. Nonetheless, the best part of the$300 mealwas the Spicy Korean wings; the cauliflower was bad, the dragon roll horrible, no flavor prawns. The atmosphere is great; thelighting poor for pics, well they take pics and offer for sale; go figure that out. However, two hours into our meal we wereabout to order dessert the rude host ask us to leave; stating we had been here for two hours: how embarrassing we left. Thehost needs to at least get a class in customer service; you never know who you are asking the leave! It’s not worth it formediocre food and nasty service. Read more
Arrived at Lique for a birthday dinner. Outside patio seating was nice but it was very humid tonight. The big fans they have was... literally blowing everything away so we decided to dine inside. Elmer our server was superb! It was a party of 10 but someguests showed up pretty late and Elmer was still able to tend to them and get their food out with ease. Place got pretty hotinside so be careful how you dress. It was a Saturday night so it was pretty packed alongside the patio doors open place gotreally humid inside. Servers made sure we had plenty water. Ambiance was nice although the music was blaring and we couldn’thear each other talk. Dancers with lights performed for a little while which was entertaining. Food was actually much betterthan I had expected. Calamari although not on the menu (but they still had it) was seasoned to perfection. The sauce it camewith wasn’t good at all but it wasn’t needed. Oysters were small but delicious. Dynamite shrimp was exactly that. Hibachirice topped with steak was really good. No complaints on the food. Although the same type of music was blaring all night whenthe server brung out the cake for us they added sparklers, violinist, and a hip birthday song that we liked. I would like to thank thee Amazing Jasmine our waitress and Leo the Mixologist Extraordinaire for making my birthday celebration... Awesome! The ambience was chic, rustic, relaxing, cozy and intimate. My table was just a few steps away from the boat dockswhich added value to my experience, watching the Yachts go pass. The food menu has a nice variety of Mediterranean Inspiredcuisines. Everyone in my party LOVED what they ordered. Every entrée was plated to perfection. Hookah is also availableon-site. Lastly, if You need a professional picture taken, a photographer is there to capture Your experiences for $20 perpicture. ~WOW! What a view, you MUST make an reservation. WHY, because my friend owns the cigar store next to it and he even told the... OWNER he was coming and THAT did not get us a table UNLESS you book with the girl that takes reservations. The service is TIGHT,the views from outside spectacular and the food is no bargain, but it is nothing short of perfection. Made reservations for 8:30 and didn't get seated until an hour later AFTER requesting to speak to a manager. The hostess Naida... (or however you spell it) told us we had to wait by the bar until a table was available even though we had reservations. Bar waspacked so there was no seating as we waited by the entrance other people were coming in and being seated almost immediately andit started to feel like we weren't being seated because we were black. Inside had tables available and we were never offered atable by her. We finally find a spot at the bar and Dylan the bar tender was great, he definitely started to turn the nightaround. But we noticed people coming in and again being seated before us and at this point it's been an hour of waiting. Weasked for a manager and Naida decided to finally offer us inside seating which we declined because we still wanted to see amanager and let him know how his staff were treating guests. After speaking with the manager, forgot his name, I was ready toleave but my guest wanted to stay and try it out since we drove so far to come. The manager was able to get us seated outsidewithin 5 mins. He was really professional and nice. Our waiter was Tommy and he made the night!! He was super friendly,attentive, interactive.. if it weren't for him, this review would be a 1 star! His customer service was AMAZING.. Lique ispricey but worth the money. Apart from the bad experience waiting to get seated. The food was delicious and fresh and theentertainment was awesome. Definitely enjoyed ourselves. We do plan on coming back and hopefully the hostesses are trainedproperly by then. Read more
