Food tasted good, but service was slow. My soup wasn't hot anymore by the time I sat down to have some after receiving it from... the counter when it was ready for pickup. Same with my coffee. But my sandwiches tasted delicious and my kids enjoyed it aswell. Read more
I've visited this location way too many times out of convenience for the amount of visits I have left disappointed. Skip the... dishes orders always come before the customers standing in the small space for their order. I usually just order a soup.Everytime I order the soup the container is sometimes only 3/4 full or just above half. Very inconsistent. The amount of time ittakes to pour a simple bowl of soup is outrageous. I've stood there waiting as long as 20 mins. Many times the bread isforgotten and I have to turn around and go back. I learned to check the bag before I leave and once again today the bread wasforgotten. Staff is usually looking miserable and as though they can't keep up. I usually try to refrain from giving bad reviewsand give a place the chance to do better be it staff shortages etc. It hasn't changed or become better. I will never return tothis location nor will I recommend. Very poor service. Read more
Great atmosphere, but ruined by staff (he might have been the owner) I took the family to Aroma Espresso bar at Shops at Don... Mills for brunch to enjoy the sunny Saturday. The patio was packed, we waited for two tables to clear and pulled them together -to fit 5 chairs. One of the staff, he might even be the store manager or owner, came up to us asking me to give up our 5thchair. I said I ordered $75 worth of brunch, so we needed two tables and the chairs to accommodate our party and the food weordered. We were not rowdy, or blocking fire exits or in the way. He simply wanted the 5th chair back because they were short onchairs. Throughout the stay, that staff member kept returning to ask if one of us can vacate the seat because other patronswere looking for a seat. What made it uncomfortable for us was, when the patrons asked for a chair, that staff member pointedat me, inferring that I have 5 chairs at these two tables. I think Aroma needs to address the lack of chairs and not deferblame on their paying customers. Aside from that, the food and coffee were amazing! Read more
I always go here for their coffee latte whenever I get the chance. It's by far my favorite shop for it. Although I have tried... many of their food and beverages, it's still my go-to drink. Apart from that, their sandwiches and breakfast are good as well.Their carrot cake and the lemon loaf/bar are good as well. Given its location, it's nice to sit on their "patio." This place used to be a pleasure to order from but now it's just bad... my last 2 visits the food quality has been terrible. I... only order a few things from aroma because there are only a few things I like. This was my 1st one and main one I would go tobut the quality has completely down graded. I ordered my usual 3 croissants and I added an apple turn-over. EVERYTHING wasstale. The croissants were flat and hard and the turnover had nuts in it. I may not be allergic to nuts but there should be aquestion when ordering as to whether or not I'm allergic or to let me know that there are nuts in it. I ate the turnover and ithad zero flakiness or puff to it. The apples tasted okay but you can tell that they weren't peeled well since I sould alwayshave a hard pice of apple skin or core in my mouth.
