Food here was MUCH better before the pandemic? I?m not sure if the chef was changed or whatever, the food is not comparable to... previous visits. the environment was fine as always. Waiters are nice except for one lady who spoke in such a low volume that Ican?t even hear the introduction of the food, I don?t even know what I consumed.. The courses were either plain or overseasoned, I don?t know why a French fine dining can serve a veal dish like this. It was just bad, from the quality, creativity, taste, to the presentation .. we spend three hours on this five courses tasting menu, and I was only able to compliment only onecrab soup course, although the soup was over salty and covered the mighty aroma of a French consommé, it was still the ?best?show of the night. I can understand that for fine dining we are primarily paying for the service and environment, that?s theonly reason why I kept two stars here. I would not recommend and I would not come back. The main takeaway is that the service/servers are incredible. They are very accommodating - we had a person with vegetarian... needs and they altered the tasting menu. The staff have a great sense of humour and wit which made the experience fun andenjoyable. Our server, Chad, was very knowledgeable about the wines and wine pairings. He took the time to explain the regionsand some facts about the process of the wine making that was unique to the bottle. We had a 1 year old at the table and all thestaff were so kind. They even brought a children?s cup on a silver platter for him! On to the food, what a unique experienceeach plate was. We all did the tasting menu which sampled the entrees. It was very beautifully presented and lovely layers offlavours. All the dishes were light and rich at the same time. Definitely recommend doing the tasting menu. It?s also worthmentioning they host many events like weddings and regular dining at the same time. The walls are mostly stone so you don?t hearthe party going in the next room. Overall, very lovely experience and amazing staff that made the night one to remember. Read more
