We had a good dinner at this restaurant. Side dishes were abundant but kimchi was not as good as other places. Our kids liked... the corn cheese and the thinly sliced pork belly. Fried kimchi with tofu was the highlight for us, very tasty. We give it 4* asbeef was not good at all, very chewy although we grilled it to medium rare, pink on the inside. Read more
I have been to a couple of Daldongnae location across Toronto and by far this is my favorite place to go. The place is spacious... and the staffs are friendly. For some reason, I also feel that the meat here are better in terms of the right thickness andmarbling; but this could just be a coincidence. We came here for lunch and ordered the prime kalbi short-ribs, which is the cutI always recommend when you go to a Korean BBQ place. The portion was adequate and the meat tasted juicy and tender. We wereable to get additional refills for the side dishes including the steamed eggs and corn cheese, which is my favorite! The staffwas very helpful and quick to attend us whenever we need assistance. The food is reasonably priced, but slightly on the pricierside, but you do get all the side dishes (plus refills) with every order. Highly recommended I?ve been to other locations before but Sheppard is by far the best???????? Firstly meat is tender and... delicious My friends and I ordered 3 portions of pork belly and beef boneless short rib and 1cut of rib finger meat. Allportions were awesome What is more seafood pancake is crispy and oden soup is great As for the service, servers are so friendlyand attendable. My partner and I tried this venue over the weekend and could not have been happier with the decision! Food was terrific and... although the meat was expensive, the quality was definitely there and justified the cost. Our server was very attentive andwalked us through the menu and his recommendations which were all great. There was only one worth mentioning which did confuseus at first. Their menu says "minimum 2 orders per person" for the meat (which scared us at first), but we confirmed that theyactually mean per table. The server cleared up that confusion very quickly though so wasn't a huge issue. Read more
