My husband and I came here for dinner one night and, unfortunately, it wasn't as good as we expected it to be. For an appetizer,... I got the bruschetta and hubby got the calamari fritti. My husband said that the calamari was the best part of the meal, he saidit was tasty, crispy and tender and not rubbery, at all. I wish I had felt the same about the bruschetta. The bruschetta arrivedon what seemed to me to be a steamed and toasted dinner roll cut in half. The bruschetta topping was tasty but made the bread alittle soggy, it would have been more successful on a more sturdy and substantial bread like a baguette as opposed to this softroll; little details like the right bread matter. I had the gnocchi with marinara sauce and my husband had the Spaghetti AlPestore. To my surprise, the gnocchi was not house made, it was pre-packaged, dense and gummy, not very good and not what wasexpected from an Italian restaurant. The picture of the gnocchi online looked nothing like what I received, it wasdisappointing, but the marinara sauce was nice. Hubby said the Spaghetti Al Pestore was just okay. He said there was not enoughseafood in it, and some of the mussels were very slightly opened, meaning they may have been almost dead before being cooked.Hubby ordered the creme brulee for dessert which arrived not bruleed, no bruleed sugar to crack through, just some cold custard,wth?!? I ordered the apple pie for dessert, which had seen better days a week ago. The one part of dinner that I enjoyed a lotwas the espresso, it was perfectly bitter and velvety smooth. I would give this dining experience a 2 ???? for the food andanother ???? for the customer service as the customer service was stellar. We were a party of 6. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Three had pasta dishes and 3 of us (including me) had the pizza. The wood... oven pizza was quite good. Prices are affordable and the service was excellent. They even accomodated our special request formy mom's birthday. We will for sure be back. Read more
