My daughter and I went on vacation in this area. It's not too far from the beach. We were looking for sushi places and found... this on Yelp. They have a great selection of sushi. It's all super fresh and tasty. It's a small place so their seating islimited, but we never had a problem finding a seat. We came here three times while on vacation because we loved it so much.People usually order out. One time we order by phone and we just ate there. Read more
First visit to Ichiban! We got the Pink Lady, Spicy Tuna rolls and the Black Pepper Seared Tuna over Spicy Tuna. All were... delicious and we will definitely order them again. Everything was fresh and prepared to order. Can?t wait to try more of theirselections next week. Read more
The overall rating you see now for Ichiban was built with love by the previous owners who have likely since retired. Back when... Osaka in the Hamilton Mall was good and especially back when Ichiban was first established five years ago- we had a wonderfulgem in the area for amazing sushi. The new owners seem friendly enough but the quality of the food and preparation are nowherenear what you were able to find here. Sushi burritos have been continued but it lacks texture, garnish and flavor. Trying thespider roll, soft shell crab + salmon sushi burrito, everything just seemed less than half-baked and had a strong resemblance ofgarbled leftover fish. If all you're craving is a California roll, they sell that here. I really dislike giving poor reviews tolocal shops and restaurants but those expecting what used to be, will only be disappointed. The restaurant that sits here hasbuilt a popularity that already has a customer base. If the owners continue to serve whatever it is that they're serving now,they'll push away the momentum that was built for them.
