Food is pretty pricey (except the lunch menu) and just need a little more season on their Alfredo sauce but overall it was... great. Waitress was very attentive and explained everything well due to it was our first time there. Pretty good menu and thelist of desserts is huge. Didn?t try any though. I was decently disappointed. Haven't been to a restaurant since pandemic. Figured I should support local economy and shed my... apprehension about doing a restaurant. Went to Irene's for lunch. The question was do a dinner size calzone or lunch size. Ourwaitress said the dinner size was large and take extra home. Good deal for $2 more than lunch price, lunch is half the size. Gotthe dinner calzone, cup of sauce goes with either. Ran outta sauce at 40%. Asked for more sauce for the large dinner calzone.They charged $4.50 for more sauce. Our venture to try restaurant again after 2 yr hiatus became a $32 check for 2 plus tip. Cost$40 for 2 lunches. I felt wronged by the sauce deal. $40? I'll make a dozen grinders at home for $40. Don't feel Irene's strivesfor value. Irene's strives for all they can get. I'm staying home. Disappointed. Read more
