In the last two years this place has really gone downhill. I ordered my usual cheesesteak and when it was served I was shocked.... There was hardly no meat, it was mostly all bread. It had no flavor at all and the bread they all suppose to be getting fromPhilly was stale. I will not eat any mor food there. Take this review seriously, because I am from Phill and I know what a realcheese steak is. I hate to give a bad review but certainly it deserves a review like this based on the food. Being from Pennsylvania, I laughed at the claim that it had the #1 cheesesteak in America, but after after trying the "The... Philly", I have to admit it comes pretty close. I added mushrooms and mayo to mine, and it was as tasty as the ones I eat backhome. Plus, it was so huge and stuffed with steak that it made for a nice second meal. I also ordered Vinny's sweet ranch friesand a coke to round things out. It was one of the better lunches I've had in awhile. I came here due to the positive ratings and expected the food to be good. Me and my boyfriend went here for takeout the dining... area was dark and seemed closed we waited about 20min after ordering our food. We got two cheesesteak sandwiches and I got thechicken Buffalo fries for a side. We ate the food right after getting it but it seemed luke warm and not very fresh. The breadwas very soft almost soggy and was falling apart. The cheesesteak was pretty salty a bit too salty for me and my boyfriendstaste. The fries also were very soft and almost soggy even eating them right away. Too much dressing/sauce on the fries otherthen that they were ok. Food was just ok ..nothing great that I would come back for. Maybe their quality has changed due to thepandemic ?but my experience definitely does not reflect all the reviews commenting about great food. Read more

I've stopped at this place many times over the past few years and the food is always good. Today I decided to stop by just... before noon time, the hours on the store said they should have been open. After trying the door and calling the phone a coupletimes I noticed an employee was walking around inside unbothered. By now several other customers had shown up to wait outside.Being on the road for work I could not wait any longer and had to jump back on the highway. Needless to say, I certainly won'tbe going out of my way anymore to stop at Philly's???? Great food, not so great service. Read more
