Red Boy is the best. We just got back from picking up a pizza. We got there early and had a drink and the service is so great.... Everyone is friendly and helpful. The beers were ice cold and the place is always clean and just awesome. If you haven't everhad their pizza you're missing out. Best crust in Marin and the toppings are super quality. Red Boy Pizza and Restaurant. Is a place that specializes in Sourdough Pizza. The price point for a small pizza is anywhere... between $12-25. Depending on the toppings for their named pizzas of you can order Make Your Own menu. They make other usualiltailan dishes too. Being the price is what it is is usual for this area (Marin County, CA). The taste, I found that I cantaste the Sourdough and everything on it. The taste was interesting as the interaction between the Sauce and the Pepperoni hada bit of a spicey bite. It was good. I also had the side house salad (Romain Lettuce, Shredded Mozzarella, Black Olives,Shredded Carrots, small crunch croutons) was a good and plentiful. With this take out- pick up do to COVID, I wonder what iswould look like Pre-COVID? I give a 4 star rating because it was okay. Filled me up and that is what matters. Read more
I wanted to like this pizza. And I?m going to give it another try with toppings, however when I first try a new pizza place I... like to get a slice of cheese so I can detect the flavor of the sauce and crust without the added topping interfering. Thispizza was completely flavorless. The sauce and cheese had zero taste, nothing. I ate the entire slice in hopes of findingsomething to taste, if I didn?t see the sauce with my own eyes I wouldn?t have known it was there, the cheese was greasy andequally had zero flavor. Such a shame because The crust was perfect, crispy and chewy, real pizza dough, not bread. The red boypizzeria itself was completely charming with red and white checkered table clothes, full bar, lots of room, kids corner andreally nice staff. Out of sheer hunger I thought I should order a Pie, and the Sourdough Crust sounded real good too! I found the Caesar a little... confusing. The pizza on the other hand left nothing to the imagination. It spent about 30 minutes in transport which never bodeswell for pizza. Took one bite then fired up the oven. The dough is fairly hearty and took about 15+ minutes at 375 to cookthrough then a quick broil (optional) to finish. This pie was hella greasy, no sponging for me, just what I was looking for! Ifyou order a Pie and it shows up doughy toss it in the oven. I didn?t get it down until my 5th or 6th slice. But second half ofthe pizza was incredibly delicious! The sourdough crust lived up to my expectation! The sauce and toppings were uninspired! Notsure if I?ll ever eat here again but you can bet the oven will be preheated before the next delivery!
