Let me start off by saying my husband and I really don?t enjoy eating out anymore. Especially since Covid, we feel a lot of... quality has gone out the window. We happened to be driving in the area after a family engagement and overall long day. Weweren?t starving but wanted to take a break maybe have a drink. We gave Portofino?s a try because the outside was gorgeous andvery inviting. 1st off we were greeted by an amazing staff, even the head chef makes it a point to know everyone?s name andgreet people to see how they?re doing. My husband was stressed from work then the family affair. The Head Chef Tim (respectfulyoung man) brought him over a drink just because he thought he could use it. Lol my husband said ?good read? Now THE FOOD WASDELICIOUS!!!! Calamari app was honestly one of the best. They don?t use bread crumbs and fry everything to death. No frozengarbage here. The shrimp my husband ordered was so good he ordered another one (also because I ate his) the sauce was thisdelectable garlic butter with an amazing consistency. It didn?t break at all. Hands down the best Resturant I?ve had thepleasure of eating at in the last 5-10 years. The staff deserves a round of applause as well. They are helpful without beingoverbearing and rushing you out. No one lingered. They turned my family?s mediocre night into a fine dining experience. It?s acomfortable atmosphere setting that doesn?t throw away the appeal of high-end restaurants. Or as my husband would say ?you?re ina 5 star Resturant, minus that stuffy pretentious feeling? Very regal, old school family Resturant. Definitely recommend it toanyone. Went last night. Very disappointing. Nothing like it used to be. Fried Calamari was so tough you couldn?t chew it. Hubby and... friend ordered dish that had calamari, shrimp, mussels over linguini and the calamari in that dish was so tuff he didn?t eat it. There were 2 bad mussels. Never finished dish. Don?t know what changed but definitely very disappointing. There were 12 ofus and none of us feel it was nothing extraordinary like it used to be. The service was great though. Read more
