My wife remembered how good this restaurant about two years ago. We came back to Oakland for training. We try to remember... what name of this restaurant we went. My wife took lit time to find this restaurant. She finally found it. This time we haveto reservation. We have service dog for deaf. The staff are wonderful. The bartender took care of us really well. We havecouple drinks. I order Casoncelli Bergamaschi. My wife ordered Pesce. Casoncelli Bergamaschi and Pesce are amazing. I was sospeechless and enjoy most delicious food I ever have. My only complaint is I want more. Pesce is best sea bass we ever taste. At first, we thought smash potato with sea bass didn't sound appealing, but it was perfect marriage with veggies. My wife saidit worth every penny on Seabass. She would order it again. My wife love chocolate so I ordered Bunet Piemontese. OMG! Thisdessert end perfect for the night. It is best dinner we had for long time . If you looking for Northern Italian style food,this is truly Authentic. If we live close by, we would go there every week. Read more
Great spot with homemade pasta in an intimate setting. We were a party of 6 and tried a lot of different items. All yummy!
We have been coming here since they opened in 2016. It is one of our go to restaurants in Rockridge. I use to bring my 15-20... year old Barolos here but now that I’m running low, I just buy wines off the list (the pricing is quite reasonable). They onlyhave 10 tables inside and since the pandemic, they now serve outside which has helped double the volume of their business, whichthey can handle. They have also added at least 4 vegetarian pasta options where it use to be one. We prefer to order just thepastas, a bottle or glasses of wine, split a salad and order a side like Brussels sprouts, and finish up with an affrogato andor a panna cotta. The staff are long time professionals who are knowledgeable and like their jobs. We prefer 2-3 o’clocklunches when it is less crowded and you can take your time and enjoy your meal. After trying food from the Bottega, we HAD to come visit this location and boy were we happy we did. The whole vibe is cozy,... warm and feels like you're a part of the family. The service was great as well. To start we had the Americana salad which wasexactly what we wanted. crunchiness, soft cheese, beets, other stuff but it was a good start to the meal. The pastas areperfectly cooked and feel SO fresh. We had two separate stuffed pastas, both of which were delicious. You have to try it tobelieve it. We finished off with a Tiramisu which was good as well. The wine selection was also pretty extensive and matchedvery well. This is staying on the revisit list! Read more
