I was in charge of date night this week and I decided to choose to come here for a snack and drinks! To our surprise there was a... comedy show scheduled and they let use join in on the fun last min. Great experience our first time out here. Drinks were good. The sweet plantain was a nice treat. Everyone was digging the music... so I went to check out who was playing and it was DJ HeyLove spinning it right like always! Came for a comedy show which was pretty good! The food was pretty decent as well. The risotto was on point but the cost was $8... to add lamb meatballs and there were only 2 tiny meatballs? that?s a pretty ridiculous ask for two meatballs the size of pingpong balls. As for the drinks, we tried the award winning cocktail and all I tasted was an overwhelming carrot and turmericflavor and not much else. All the cocktails were just ok to me and my 2nd drink took 25 mins to come out. Lastly, the billincludes a mandatory 20% service charge, which would be fine if they made it much more clear. Instead, it?s pretty hidden on thereceipt and the tip line below doesn?t state that you?ve already left one which would easily trick some people to think theyhadn?t tipped yet when in fact they?ve already tipped. Very cozy neighborhood restaurant, super friendly reception the moment you walk up to the entrance, very attentive throughout... and staff expressing sincere gratitude as you leave.
