Have had lunch here a few times. Food has so far tasted fresh and really full of flavor. Favorites have been the Fiesta Taco... bowl with Chick'n and the black bean burger. For the taste and and amount of food you get the prices are reasonable consideringits in the bay area. Fiesta Taco Bowl w/ Chick'n (Vegan Chicken): I was surprised how good it was. It reminded me of a bowlfrom Chipotle but with better flavors and a more fresh taste. The rice was perfectly cooked with great flavor and texture. Theseasoning on the Chick'n was amazing and the texture of it was perfect too. Perfectly fried, not too oily and just the rightcrisp. You almost can't tell that its not real chicken. Black Bean Burger: Tasted fresh and didn't fall apart after the firstbite. Flavor through out was great but I would say that the tastiest part of the dish is their Yuca fries. Shakes are alsogreat! My new favorite vegan spot in Oakland, and I've tried them all! I want to come back again ASAP. I got a quinoa bowl with sweet... orange sauce and BBQ carnitas, it came with the most delicious fresh veggies and felt so light & healthy. You'd think that oneflavor would overpower the other since sweet orange and BBQ are both fairly intense flavors, but here it was perfect and wenttogether nicely. Portion was large, I saved some for later. Another great menu item is their burger, it's fantastic and evencomes with yuca fries which were a nice surprise. Empanadas are great too, and there are cookies and muffins for dessert.Another big benefit to eating here is that they have a smoothie place connected to them called "Powered by Pure" (you need to berang up separately, but literally just two registers next to one another). I'm not a drink/smoothie person but gave the PeachCobbler shake a shot and was blown away. WOW! That?s all I can say after grabbing a smoked black bean burger and a side of Mac and cheese. Unbelievable flavorful. The... burger was extremely well developed, cheese on top, and some of the best Chipotle Aioli I?ve had in a long time. I tried Roasted and Raw for the first time today after hearing about it from a colleague. I gotta say, the tastiest menu item I... had was the ginger juice. The Mac and cheese was okay, but that was only because the cheese shreds melted on top was thetastiest part. The rest was bland. The super burrito was okay, and I think all the flavor came from the protein choice. The ricehad no flavor, but it was cooked well. It was also served with 5 sticks/wedges of what I presumed to be yuca fries. 5 sticks (Ithought that was funny- such an odd serving). The breakfast burrito had absolutely no flavor. The empanada was okay, but notspectacular. It?s good to try new places. It is sad when you?re not impressed. But it?s better to have satisfied thecuriosity. To the owner?s response: I literally ordered from your restaurant for the first time today, 4/16/22, as a newcustomer. A colleague told me the Mac n cheese was the best she?s had, but while it was aesthetically pleasing, it lacked flavoraside from the cheese on top. As for the rice, it?s plain white. It didn?t have color like Spanish rice or cilantro lime flavor.I don?t know what you use for flavoring, but the rice in the burritos did not have any flavor. It is my honest opinion. I?m gladI visited and tried what your restaurant offered, but my palate wasn?t impressed. I had considered returning to try the currybowl, because it?s curry and that should have plenty of flavor, and other menu items, but a sour response like what you entered,rather than accept it as a genuine review, has abated that thought.
