Heads up if you have a severe peanut allergy!! Almost every dish is served with peanut oil chips and the staff was said there... were no peanuts in house when I first told them my allergy. I would avoid as cross contamination is a huge risk. My non-peanutallergic friends enjoyed the food. Read more
What a wonderful experience!! We came in for lunch on a Friday assuming we?d have to wait a while for a table as we had a... stroller. The gentleman at the front was so kind and quickly found us a table we could comfortably fit. The food took lessthan 10 minutes to arrive after we ordered (at peak lunch hour!) and our server was very genuine and friendly. Also ordered thechocolate banoffee pie, which was delicious! After 24 hours of traveling from the depths of the Amazon rainforest, filthy, hungry and worn out from the road, Southie... provided a refuge that cannot be easily transcribed here. The sandwiches were both top of class, the potatoes and leek soup mayor may not have been the best soup of the decade and the staff was incredibly nice and attentive. I came here as a solo diner because there was a long wait at Wood Tavern next door. I think my experience here at Southie... exceeded what it would?ve been at Wood. The staff was so kind. My food was delicious. Vibe was laid back but still professional.Can?t recommend dinner at Southie enough. Read more
