I absolutely enjoyed myself at Tailchasers. I went with my husband for a nice lunch before hitting the road. The food was... phenomenal. We started out with mussels, oysters, and calamari. Everything was hot and fresh. You can taste the ocean in everybite. Our waitress was also amazing. She was kind, engaging, and had great customer service. We sat outside, and the view wasbeautiful. It wasn't too windy and we were close to the bar. My dirty martini was delicious and strong. The restaurant itself isvery pretty. It's family friendly(playground included) and pet friendly. My son and I read the reviews and decided to go. So glad we did. We sat outside along the water. The breeze kept us... comfortable as well as the seating. We had some drinks which were good especially the classic orange crush. My son had theCarolina pulled pork sandwich which he said was " Best one I have ever had". I tried it and it was good. Logan the serverrecommended a few dishes, but she loved the scallop dish. I was skeptical and asked what the serving size would be. She said 8oz, so I went for it. The scallop dish consisted of mushrooms, cheesy grits, asparagus, cucumbers and 5 large tasty scallops. I am usually disappointed when I order scallops(small portions). This was not the case. This is the best scallop dish I haveever had and one of the best meals I have had in OC during my 25 yrs of visiting. Thanks Logan for your service andrecommendation :). We loved eating at Tailchasers. Food was delicious, ambiance was great and staff was very good and courteous. We went twice... because my daughter loved the pulled pork sandwich and she is a picky eater so it was a no brained. Inside It's cute and quaintand outside is very nice with an area for kids to play while parents enjoy the views. We'll come back to O.C. and eat atTailchasers.????????? Read more

Our 1st time here and it certainly won't be our last. From the hostess to the bartender to our waiter, you cannot ask for better... service. Everyone was super friendly and even gave our 3yr old daughter a bonus ice cream cone. The shrimp were incredible, oysters were super fresh and wings had great flavor. Let's not forget the drinks... My orange crush was super deeeelicious andthe Mrs. Had a coors light and she said it was ice cold and crisp lol. Thanks for an amazing experience!! The original reasonwe came was that we had been looking for a place where Mommy and Daddy could have a drink and a couple snacks while the kidcould play.
