Went here for my wife?s birthday dinner with my mother and farther in law during our vacation. I had the sword fish and it was... excellent. Some of the best popcorn shrimp I?ve ever had also. The service was by far the best we?ve ever had. Kaitlyn was ourserver and she went out of her way to make the dinner special for my wife on her birthday. My father in law is vegan and has thevegan entree and said it was the best he ever had. Would definitely recommend 10 times over. Read more
A nice time! They were busy and we had to eat at the bar which was not so bad. The parking was decent and the views were pretty.... Food was good, everything seemed fresh but we had some nicer experiences at other local restaurants. Read more
This place is right by a harbor. Parking can be a issue at times depending on when you go. The Brussels, fried green tomatoes,... corn pone, and steamed shrimp were all really good. The menu can change daily. I got the flounder wrap with fries. The wrap wasdecent but the fries were old & cold. This put a damper on my experience. My main dish was ok. However, I did try other peoplesfood at the table. The burger was good and salad. Everyone agreed the fries were old. I would try this again and do a differentside. A lot of local OC residents recommended Shark on the Harbor so our expectations were already high? even so, everything about our... experience completely blew us away. The staff (friendly and accommodating), the service (prompt without being overbearing), THEFOOD? OUTSTANDING. I appreciate that the menu sites the local vendors who provide the elements of the dishes. I LOVE that themenu is tailored to what seafood was caught THAT DAY. And I was completely blown away by not just the quality of the fooditself, which was exquisite, but also by how intricately balanced each dish was in its seasoning and accompanying components. Ihave traveled across nearly 40 US states and enjoyed fine and casual dining in each location; I can easily place Shark on theHarbor in my top 3 all-time favorite, if not #1. We have been here many times over the years. Without a doubt I can say that our experiences for dinner have been much better... than lunch. Their lunch options are ok, but I?ve had a few things that were overcooked or just plain bland. I would never orderthe fried chicken sandwich ever again because the time I tried it, it was so over cooked. Some of their menu items don?t seem tochange often, while others seem to get changed out more often, mostly their main entrees. Overall we have been very happy withdinner there and some areas of the restaurant have a water view. This summer we watched this boat load up totes of horseshoecrabs that were used to make vaccines and then they return them to the water. So that was cool to watch and read about whilehaving lunch. I never would?ve known that was a thing if I wasn?t sitting in this restaurant watching them load them. Read more
