Started off my GSG experience with the blackberry smash, an excellent spirited concoction. Chicken salad sandwich was delicious... and made with fresh ingredients (one of best chicken salad?s I?ve eaten on the MS coast). Bar staff was courteous andprofessional. Five star experience. We had tuna sandwich and a gyro. Tuna sandwich was too greesy; mayo in the tuna spread, mayo covered the double buttered Texas... toast. Scraped some of the mayo off. The gyro was better, meat was a little dry but good. Potato salad and cole slaw were good.Inside seating was noisy and the windows are in deparate need cleaning. Read more
Government Street Grocery is a cool restaurant with a unique vide. The outdoor area gives you the opportunity to enjoy the... night air while engaging in the consumption of the delightful morsels. All the food on the menu pair perfectly with a frostybeverage. The descriptions of all the menu items had my mouth watering. Attempting to expand my experiences, I was pleasantlysurprised by the taste of fries dipped in gravy as an appetizer. I settled on a spicy steak wrap with a side of shrimp. The food was great, the service was good except for when we went to pay the check. Our waiter run the card, came back and told... us it was declined. But on the cards app it showed a pending status and the money withdrawn, the waiter said he cancelledpayment and I just paid cash. Now our card still shows pending payment, money still withdrawn, and our bank says they arewaiting on the restaurant to cancel payment before they can do anything. so we basically was double charged for our dinner?.. wehad the mushroom burger and the Philly cheesesteak, it was good but I don?t know if it was worth twice the price.
