The good: the food was really tasty. The bad: service was REALLY slow and simple questions were very challenging for staff. ... Four of us all ordered meals with avocado: one was informed after we paid they were out. She changed order... To something halfthe price - but the price wasn't adjusted. Heh, from the farmer. Actually, yes, the owners have a farm in town thatsupplies ingredients for the restaurant and store. In fact the Sunday we went the owner was sharing around a plate of watermelonfor customers. This is an order in the small store counter and they bring your order out to you. All vegetarian! Service took a while but the food and drink was very very good and fresh the staff and patrons of this place are all VEEY... ATTRACTIVE I felt like I was in a different universe almost. My husband and I stayed in Meiners Oaks for a couple nights of our anniversary trip and we kept returning to The Farmer and the... Cook for their incredible food and magical atmosphere. The caprese salad was INSPIRED and paired perfectly with the amazingpotato pizza. Breakfast was a true treat with the best avocado toast I've ever had and a honey lavender CBD latte that I'm sosad I can't get back home.
