Really nice. I think they are a bit understaffed so things are a bit slow. The food was really nice and the chef kept youngsters engaged.
Do not go. We arrived tonight at 8:30. The staff told us it would be 15 minutes before we were seated. Ok, no problem. 15 min later, our table was ready. We were sitting there for 45 min and no one had even begun to prepare anything. We walked out. One hour wasted and almost too late to eat anywhere else. Absolutely disgusted by their service and zero apology.
I love Shoguns. I always have. Great food. The people are and always have been very friendly. My husband and I went out for a date night and we enjoyed our meal. And we?ll go back. But I do feel like I need to say that it may be time to do some upgrades. Don?t change it. Just upgrade a bit. There was a bit of an unpleasant fishy smell when we walked in the door. That?s something I?ve never experienced there before. Maybe just a fluke thing, but it was definitely pungent. Unfortunately, our table this time was a tough crowd for our chef. I felt bad for him. The chef was doing his best to entertain and some of the people sitting with us could have cared less. If I could?I?d like to remind people to just be kind when you?re out dining. Chefs, servers, entertainers, etc. are there to make a living. Don?t make it hard on them or hassle them or treat them poorly. You wouldn?t want someone walking into your office giving you a hard time. Always be kind. Lead by example. Anyway, back to this review, Shoguns had good food. I?d recommend the filet of sol. Always tasty.
Food was great, a little bit of a wait. Birthday song could have been better. Overall the experience was great.
My family and I for many generations have been coming here, always so much fun the chefs are always funny and cook my steak to perfection. The owner is always there and management and in general. Great staff!
It's not clear what happened here, but this Shogun was EXTREMELY understaffed. They might have had 2 chefs and 2 servers. It took nearly 10 minutes for us to be seated - with a reservation. Once we were seated, it took almost 15 minutes to get a drink. We were not served our first food until about an hour after our reservation time, about 45-50 minutes after being seated. To cap it off, the chef clearly had limited or no hibachi training. He did his best, but the food was sub-par and BLAND for a hibachi restaurant, and there was essentially no show. And finally, to add insult to injury, the prices were SIGNIFICANTLY higher than menu price. We understand supply chain issues, but the difference was about 20%. Ridiculous, given the poor quality and service. I don't blame the staff. I feel they did their best, but clearly there are serious issues at this restaurant. The server was kind and patient, the chef was nice, but clearly this staff is out of their depth. We will try again after a significant period of time, once this restaurant has had time to recover from whatever disaster caused its major issues.
The steak and fried rice was great! Awesome entertainment. Maybe our group was too big but it took a while to pay and get our cards back but it was a neat experience and place to eat at.
The customer service was great! This was my first time coming here, and it was my daughter's birthday. The food was good, and the cook did great as well. Our time here as a family was great, and we'll definitely have to come back soon!
