I had the uncle K fried chicken. Loved it from the first bite. It was super crispy on the outside and hot and juicy on the... inside. It was the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. The service was amazing. The staff made sure that we were well takencare of and even offered us a taste of a new item they are adding to the menu. I will definitely return, again and again andagain. Been trying their menu items for a while, mostly through Skip and every item I have ordered has been very pleasant. Their... Calamari is very good, the sauce and seasoning is just ace. Their Katsu meal sets are always just the right amount of food,comes with some crunchy veg, a soup and always a fresh tasting and crispy pork or chicken cutlet. I recently tried their"Cupbob" Chicken lunch item, and that was surprisingly tasty and satisfying. Read more
The chicken is deliciously juicy inside, perfectly seasoned and crisp on the outside. The skewered squid legs with a sweet mayo... based sauce were a perfect mix of sweet, chewy and tender. The pickled radish had a nice blend of vinegar and sugar. The pastcouple times I tried takeout, tonight was our first dine-in at the restaurant. I washed my meal down a boozy Soju, which to metasted like vodka mixed with sake, in a good way! They also have Sapporo on tap. The server (owner possibly?) was amazing andwelcoming. 2022-0511 : Chicken fried restaurants seem to be popular these days. I've been to many places, but this Uncle k is the best of... the best. First of all, it is a very crispy dish and the sauces are very unusual. We could realize the passion of the chef'scooking, and I would like to give an additional extra stars for the kindness of the staff. Also, the perfect temperature draftbeer is excellent! Was in the okotoks area and we can never say no to KFC! We ordered combo C which was 3 flavors (quarter chicken each). We... tried: Uncle K (original) - tasty and well seasoned but not as crispy as other KFC we've had. Sweet and spicy - tasty andtender but all sweet and no spice (would still order again). Honey Butter Chicken Parm - OMG the best flavor of the three handsdown. Rich and sweet cut with the salty parm cheese just SO good. Definitely our new favorite and we'll visit again just forit! If you're on the fence I'd definitely say give it a try, and if you want a recommendation go for the honey butter parmchicken!! Read more
