First time visiting this establishment. Always good while you are entering you see wood outside and the aroma of meat being... smoked. Had the special which included ribs, french fries, smokey beans bread and a pickle, bread and Included a soft drink aswell. Portions were generous and delicious. Ribs were fall of the bone and very tender. Loved the beans they had a genuine smokeflavor to them. Would have preferred the bread to be toasted but not a game changer for me. Also had a regular pulled porksandwich. Very generous there as well on the portion. Staff was very polite and even offered recommendations and pointed out thespecial too me. Read more

The staff was excellent and very friendly. They are what kept any stars on here at all. The food was almost completely devoid... of any smoked flavor. It could have been cooked in any oven. There was barely any seasoning at all. By the number of guestscoming in, it must not always be this way. I noted when we walked in that the BBQ aroma was very slight compared to every BBQrestaurant I've ever been to and I wondered about that. Read more
If heaven was a BBQ joint it would be Johnny's. Everything on the menu is the best in it's class by far. I've been eating Kansas... City BBQ for over 30 years and Johnny's as outdone every other joint. Seriously order one of each thing on the menu, you won'tbe disappointed. P.S.
