An Americanized French bakery. A lot of sugary things. Update! The classic bread I got from them for $7 is mostly air and chewy.... So not french at all. it has a giant air bubble in it that makes it impossible to use it as a sandwich bread???? Not good! Read more

Yes they?re very hip + French?in food and in ?tude. Deal with it silently as a true Olympian would or stand there and insist on... having your way but don?t blame them if you let them get away with bad service. Simple + wholesome folksy food, gorgeouslypresented. The pastry case will make you break all of the promises you have made to yourself. Try the croque madame. You couldmake it at home, but you woke up early and wanted to get out and about on a sunny morning, enjoy the finer things in life likecoffee and people watching. No wifi here, by design. Bring a crossword puzzle or a book. Oddly I do not recommend their bread.They overbake it and when questioned they insist that is the French way as though that?s the truth which it?s not. Love the pastries and breads (the almond cake is my favorite), breakfast was just okay. I had the poached egg breakfast. Poached... eggs were very inconsistent with one overcooked and one undercooked. I feel like the dish needed balance. The chevre andbalsamic needed a bitter alongside. Arugula would be perfect. Pastries and bread amazing as always! Espresso was pretty good,too. Service was lovely. Update 11/11: eggs today were poached perfectly today and the classic breakfast was an all around hit. Read more
