Pretty good, although I feel the food was much better some years back. Still worth a visit. The Margaritas are fairly affordable... for what you get. The staff is very nice. I got Barbacoa Flautas and I would get those again! Read more
Stokes in a nice place in the Old Market area of Omaha. It’s what I would consider a classy bar and grill. It’s nicely set... up, yet it’s still a bar and grill so you can dress up, or go casual. Waiter we had was helpful in suggestions, and givingappropriate time. Once selections were made, food came in pretty reasonable time. Quality was quite good. We both liked what wehad, and would be willing to try the same again, yet also be willing to try something different as well. Atmosphere in generalwas decent. You’ll get some louder volume in there due to the Old Market hang out clientele, but it was all respectful, justpeoples friendliness and excitement. Our party of 4 arrived at Stokes at 4:30 for happy hour last night. We were seated immediately and proceeded to enjoy our... drinks and food for the next hour and and half. During that time it became busier due to a concert event later that evening. We had finished our drinks and food when a manager came to our table telling us they needed our table for a reservation and thatparty had been waiting for several minutes for us to leave. She also said “we needed to take our party elsewhere “. Therewas no notice or communication that there was a time limit due to an event and our server did not mention that there was anotherparty waiting. When this manager shared that our table was needed we hadn’t even received our check to pay. We havefrequented this location many times for dinner, happy hour and brunch over the years but have never felt so unwelcome as we didyesterday. There are many options in the old market and I will be “taking my party elsewhere” from now on. Read more
