I was overjoyed when I found out that Omaha finally has a Taiwanese restaurant! My family and I used to come to this place... (Canton House) for Cantonese food. Now this restaurant is run by Jenny (Owner and Chef) and her friendly and courteous staff. This place has been remodeled with new furnishings and styled with house plants and cute decorations. The menu includes manyauthentic Taiwanese dishes that I love. We ordered Pork Chop Rice, Taiwan Beef Noodle soup, Ramen, and a few more dishes lastnight, all were delicious and generous in portions! I tried this restaurant yesterday which I have been wanting to do since noticing the signs for the new restaurant that once was... the space of my favorite restaurant Canton House. Well I think this will be my new favorite restaurant. The place has beenupdated and remodeled and is very pretty inside. The owner Jenny is very nice and her waiter was great and explained to meabout the menu and their plans for expanding it. They offer a very nice menu and specials but hope to expand. I ordered Taiwanminced port rice and Taiwan Beef Noodle soup. Both were very delicious and generous in portions. The meat in the soup was verytender and the depth of flavor was delicious and unique. The waiter explained they stay true to traditional Taiwan recipes andthe rice dish was the owners own special recipe. They offer other traditional Chinese dishes I am more used to but I wanted totry the Taiwanese ones first. I will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu. I highly recommend you try it. This was the most fantastic meal I've had since Golden Palace of Omaha was in it's Golden days. The quality of the food is... absolutely astounding. This is a definite 5/5 and I would recommend you to experience this wonderful taste for yourself. Read more
