The food at brunch was delicious and the server was great! The only thing I would have liked to have seen is a sweet option on... the brunch menu like French toast or waffles. We will definitely return! Read more

After church on a Sunday, I wasn?t sure we?d even get in for brunch, but we did! It is definitely a piece of history to step in... here. Reminiscent of what a cafe would have been like in the 30?s, the dining room is cozy with rustic elegance. There is a baron one side that boasts a full selection of beverages. I had a Bloody Mary, which was very good. The menu is rooted withsouthern affaire?we had the pimento cheese appetizer (surprisingly delicious) and then moved on to a basic brunch of bacon andeggs. Don?t take the word ?basic? lightly?it was more than I could eat!! The fried green tomatoes were absolutely wonderful andthe grits were out of this world!! My husband had the fried chicken sandwich (yum doesn?t even come close to explain themagnificent taste). Over all it was a pleasant surprise, the staff were frantically busy and weren?t very ?warm? but it was aSunday after all! Read more

Never would I post something to hurt the reputation of a business except in the instance of being informed with honesty and for... the good of the public. I myself wish someone would have been bold enough to speak up about the extremely poor service andquality of food before deciding to dine here. So, I am laying it out here for you all simply and honestly. One of the basicstandards when dining out is that you won?t get a large bone lodged in your throat from the fish you?ve ordered, especially at aself proclaimed high end establishment. Even after this happened, an empathetic sorry would have sufficed at a minimum. Hannah, the server, casually dismissed it with an eye roll saying verbatim that it ?happens all the time? after whisking theplate away anxious to hand out the check and collect her tip. No responsibility, or acknowledgment and she still got her 20%tip with a smirk on her face. ?I gotcha? was the attitude instead of how can we serve you and make this a fine experience foryou. There are better places in the area with the minimum basic service and attitude you deserve when dining out. It?s not forpeople of integrity like us. There is a bare minimum moral code for any business and that is who we all want to support. Youwill thank me later if you look elsewhere to spend your time and money. Read more
