What an unexpected gem. My girlfriend and I took a day trip to Biosphere 2, did some great thrift shopping after and was... recommended this place in passing. We were so happy we went! A friend recommended the Cafe and it was a good choice. Two eggs, 3 strips of bacon, what tasted like homemade hash browns and a... huge biscuit all for $11. Quality of food and service were great. We were able to bring our dogs onto the patio where they had their own menu to order from. The people food (which included prime... rib chili - yum - and Chili Relleno and eggs which Jim said was the best he's ever had) was healthy and very tasty. Thedesserts, though maybe not as healthy were a decadent delicious treat. The chocolate torte was melt in your mouth wonderful.Sorry to say the key lime pie was not as satisfying. Oh my goodness this place is a gem! You would not expect, maybe, such a fantastic gourmet location in a smaller community, but... you'd be so wrong. This place is amazing! The chili relleno was my order and I loved it. The salsa, homemade, was so good. Wehad a cornmeal rainbow trout, ala Hemingway, a Reuben, a chocolate torte. All delicious.
