This was a wonderful choice for a night out that provided an unexpected and fun experience. Well waiting for a table for our... party of two on a Friday night we chose to go to the second bar, which is the speakeasy downstairs. There are no run-of-the-millcocktails, if you want the usual sit at the upstairs bar. The speakeasy is all about making a unique creation catered to yourlikes, whether it be flavors, hobbies or dreams. A wide selection of distilled spirits and unusual liqueurs create a drink thatwill have you excited to come up with another. The concept of the speakeasy by Chef Dave is unlike any other bar experiencewe've ever had. He and Ashley made a great team. When we were called to dinner upstairs we started with the spicy shrimpappetizer and the sauce was wonderful. Chef Dave is the king of sauce! I had the keto bowl and it's hard to imagine returningand not having it again because it was stupendous!! My dinner date had the gyro which was also very good, that he plans to orderthe keto bowl next time. Read more

Nice little restaurant. Cheese curds were really good. I had the keto bowl it was good but the steak was tougher than I prefer.
Forty-five minute wait for two tiny pieces of bruschetta. Another thirty minute wait on top of that for meals. Food was nothing... special and service was not good at all. There was a bright spot in the speakeasy, which was very cool and the bartender wasfantastic. Skip the meals and check out the speakeasy. Read more

Being an avid fan of Lilliana's I've been wanting to check out Charlie's for awhile. Unfortunately I was immediately... underwhelmed. I think the food is just ok. Selection is a bit sparse and nothing really stands out as unique. Based on the drinkmenu and the presence of a speak easy, I think the bar is the real star here. EDIT: As you can see, Chef Dave responded to thisreview which in and of itself speaks volumes. We even exchanged emails and I'm beyond pleased to say that he's an incrediblechef and all around good human. I appreciate him considering my feedback and taking the time to respond.
