I have never taken the time to leave a review anywhere but this place is special. The owners really care about who they are... serving. It was a truly special dining experience. They welcome you into their home and serve real home cooked food. It wasas if I was dining at my own family gathering. Ty!! Read more

We dined at Peyton Place recently & definitely did not have the best experience for a variety of reasons. One positive is that... the restaurant is adorable & the views are beautiful, but everything else was pretty bad. The service was extremely slow. Wewaited for water. We waited for wine. We waited for appetizers for over an hour. And waited close to 2 hours for our mainentrees. Out of 5 people at our table, 2 entrees came out correctly. I got the Bison burger on a gluten free bun, since I'mCeliac, as well as a few other item add ons. Someone else at the table also got a burger. Right away we noticed our burgerorders had been flopped & combined. For example, she had my side dish & I had her burger toppings etc. Again, I'm Celiac, so Irequested a gluten free bun. After inspecting the burger bun, I decided to ask if it was indeed gluten free. It wasn't & theserver didn't seem the least bit remorseful even though the kitchen/he could have made me very sick if I would have eaten thebun. So that alone was extremely concerning that they didn't take a gluten allergy seriously. He took my burger back to thekitchen & came back 10 minutes later to tell me that they were OUT of gluten free buns & they had placed a side salad on myplate with a bun-less dry burger patty. This was frustrating because were they just hoping I would just eat the bun they gaveme? Completely unacceptable. The server also did not check in to see if we needed anything during our meal & the portion sizeswere extremely small for every dish our table ordered. I stopped at this restaurant last week, as I'm new here and wanted to try every restaurant in this town. Immediately as I... approached the entrance, an older gentleman came to the open entrance as I grabbed the door, he swung the door open, gave me thestrangest look and coldly answered NO, as I asked if they were open for business. It was 7:30 at night. According to google theywere open until 8. Then I felt completely uncomfortable as he turned the outside light bright and proceeded to watch me get backinto the car and leave. I couldn't help but wonder if I was being treated this way because I'm black. I will never know becauseeither way the message was loud and clear that I'm not welcome there. Read more

This is the 3rd time here. Very small portions. Gone downhill. Service was excellent.
