Very quick and argentine service, food is good and freshly prepared, but protein and vegetable portions seem to be a bit small... for price. Our 2nd time eating here and we loved the Garlic and Black Pepper pork over steamed cabbage and rice!! Read more
We came upon Nara Deva restaurant when we were in the Millenia Mall area and decided to give it a try. We totally enjoyed our... experience there. Our waiter was Kin. The restaurant was clean and the food was seasoned perfectly. Everything was served hotand the the staff wore masks. My husband had a spicy soup, Tom Yum. I had Tom Kha, with a creamy white coconut and milk base.It had a lot of fresh veggies. Both were delicious. We had steamed dumplings for our appetizer. They came with a flavorful soysauce on the side and topped with perfectly browned garlic crumbles. We shared an entree of fresh ginger sauté with chickenbreast. The chicken was cooked perfectly and all the flavors were perfectly balanced. We will definitely get it again. We shareda mango sticky rice for dessert, and boy, was it good. You can tell when dishes are cooked with love. It shows in the flavors.We highly recommend Nara Deva. Read more
Quality of the service and food has drastically changed since the original ownership when it was G&G Thai Cuisine on Conroy and... Turkeylake Rd. Not sure if ownership has changed, but the food and service are subpar with the dishes at two extremes. Orderedthe jerk beef which was extremely salty that you had to drink water after each bite and the basil beef which was like eating asugary cotton candy sweetness, both unbearable. Second, from initial sitting, we had to wait 15 minutes to get someone?sattention to place an order. After trying to eat what we could, we had to waive someone down to get their attention to requestfor the bill. No follow up in between. In a location that used to be a midwestern cafe (hence all the wood and fireplace, it had a hunting lodge motif) this delicious... place popped up and I?m sad it took me this long to get here. They kept the inside style but brightened it up with hangingorchids, mobile/wind homes, and bamboo accents making it feel like you?re in a secret garden in a forest in Thailand. Westarted with soups - Tom kha was rich and flavorful but I missed the heat (it?s not indicated as spicy but I bet you can ask)and Tom yum was perfectly balanced sweet, sour, and spicy. We tried the lemongrass chicken wings which were crunchy and cookedwell but I didn?t taste the lemongrass over the Thai chili sauce it was covered in. The fresh rolls were a miss for me, I didn?tlike that they were served cut up because unless you ate it in one bite it falls apart. I also prefer mine with peanut sauce.They were rolled well however and the ingredients were prepared well. The Panang curry is deliciously flavored and I was happyto see zucchini and broccoli- most places just do bell pepper and bamboo. It was a bit thin consistency but the rice soaked itright up. Medium spicy was a good medium though it was a bit sweet so I might go up to hot next time to counter that. We alsohad the combination plate which had a crunchy and refreshing papaya salad, beef jerky which was a little tough but to beexpected since it is jerky - great lightly sweet and salty flavor. The pandan coconut rice was sweet and felt more like adessert but delicious nonetheless.
