My wife and I had lunch here today and we thought that we should review this great restaurant. We?ve been here many times... although mostly for takeout. The food is very good and very fresh. We haven?t had bad food here. We got to experience theirgreat hospitality this time around since we sat and ate the food here. The owners are both very nice and friendly. They havegreat tea that they make in-house and occasionally sell. All in all, I would highly recommend this casual Turkish/Mediterraneanrestaurant for great food and service! Read more
We live in Melbourne and this food is so good, it is so worth the drive. We went this past Saturday for a drive and stopped... here once again. We got the mixed grill, Turkish delights and their rice pudding. FANTASTIC!!! The owners are so nice and myhusband feels right at home. We can't wait to go back. I just wish they were closer. This was our first experience with Turkish cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious. The meat was very juicy. I usually... don't order rice pilaf but this was very good. The portions were big, see attached pics. The owners are very personable andengaging, they obviously care about their food and patrons. We will definitely return when we vacation in Ormond. Please like & share! Wheelchair accessible. What a lovely place tucked away on a busy street. Lucky us were there while the... owners were present. Westley amd Ayten were such positively, sweet hosts. The food and atmosphere felt welcoming and authenticwith the music and smells of Turkish spices in the air. We ordered the donner kebab meal which comes with a side salad and ricepilaf, meat platter meal wirh salad and rice. We later ordered a sherbet drink which has a strong, sweet cinnamon flavor. Andwhat is a visit to a Turkish food establishment without Turkish Delight?! Theirs is served without all the powdered sugar so itis not overly sweet. We were served quickly and the moment we received our meals, all talking amongst us ceased until our plateswere clean. This is definitely a place I would visit on a lunch break or for an authentic cultural experience with a date. Breakaway from all the big chain restaurants and enjoy some fresh, healthy Turkish food & drink! Our fav of the night was definitelythe meat platter... the chicken stole the show which was quite unexpected. Thank you again to the owners for making thisexperience so lovely.
