Visited ~ 130p. Sparse patronage. No greeter, no "bell" : had to search for person to secure table. Very loud conversations &... other customers/staff oblivious to over use of EFF-word in nearby mixed generational presence. Some food items (1 fish fillet)w copious bed of creamy rice overpriced for serving size. Poutine too salty, otherwise eclectic offerings. Was visiting in the area and picked this place out of many for lunch and it didn't disappoint. The waitress was friendly and we... were not rushed. My wife had the Baba ganoush appetizer and she loved it. Myself had French onion soup and it was typical, not abad thing of course. The jalapeño margaritas were very delicious, kind of addicting to be honest. The steak fritte salad wasamazing. Steak cooked perfect medium and seasoned well. First time visit here. Able to dine in or outside in a patio setting. We (group of 5) ate inside, and the chairs were... comfortable. It took a bit of time (after our beverages were served) to get our food. Simple orders but it was mid afternoon,maybe low on staff for that time frame or more busier than usual. They have some delicious dishes such as their burgers and their black and Bleu. We ordered their $16 crab dip. We were... extremely disappointed to say the least. Plenty of bread, but the crab dip didn't even cover the bottom of the bowl. Had thisnot been a take-out order, it would have been returned. I appreciated the owner's response. I'm not asking for a credit oranything free. My review was based on my order. Based on the owner's response, that is the measured amount of crab dip usedin their $16 appetizer. Other customers may feel that is a generous portion. I personally feel that it should at the veryleast, cover the bottom of container. We love many of the other selections here. I have been to this establishment many times and have tried just about everything on their awesome menu. Every dish was prepared... very well and was also arranged to be visually stimulating!!! They use a variety of interesting spices, which also complementsthe dish! I have been very satisfied with everything that I tried! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphereis also pleasing, and they do have an outside patio that has ample seating. I would fully recommend this establishment to anyands everyone!!! You will not be disappointed! Read more
