I just tried twisted Tony's this past weekend. They have a small dining area, but I believe most of their customers are carryout... orders. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of menu items, and my order was prepared quickly. Prices are reasonable comparedwith other sandwich shops. Read more

Had heard all good things about this place, so decided to give it a try. Walked in about 4:30pm, lights on, no one there. Back... door was open & we saw a guy working on his vehicle. Turned out he was going to take our order & make our sandwiches. (interesting) The whole time I'm thinking, do I really want him to make my sandwich with motor oil or grease on his hands? Hewashed his hands, then put on mechanic's gloves...oh yeah, that's better. While he fumbled with his gloves & gathered items heneeded for constructing 2 Special Italian subs, I was noticing the grungy condition behind the counter. There were 2 largechunks of beef(?) sitting near the sink. They appeared to be cooked, dried out & a weird brownish color. Who knows how longit'd been there, un-refridgerated at room temperature? My husband guessed most of the day; I guessed it had been there a week. I was relieved it wasn't going to be used for our order. Finally, the order was ready. Two small subs & 2 bags of chips(included with the subs). We also bought 2 bottles of water, a dollar each. We almost choked when the total came to over $32. A bit rich for a couple little subs. They were soggy from too much watery Italian dressing soaking the rolls & the paper theywere wrapped in stuck to the roll. *Yuck* The meats weren't very good... tough, almost no cheese & maybe a 1/2 pepperociniwith limp lettuce. Tomato? I don't remember. Very disappointing; so bad we threw them away after a few bites. Sorry, Tony. I've had better, fresher, tastier & larger 6" subs from Subway for 1/5 the price. Read more

Just visited for the first time. We ordered two Cubans, pork was very dry. Also, was not told that our sandwiches came with... chips, so we both ordered sides. Turns out as we are waiting for our food, we see the menu says they come with chips. This isvery annoying as a customer because we paid for some very expensive (and not very good) sides when we could have gotten theincluded chips with them instead? Also, most expensive quick service sandwich shop we?ve ever been too and we live in STL area.$42 for two people, never again. The shrimp Po boy was amazing. However, I found a short black hair on the sandwich. That's always kind of gross and especially... when the sandwich was $14 dollars. I would just recommend making sure the chefs are capped and shaved to avoid that as much aspossible. I definitely go back as long as it didn't happen again. Read more

This place has potential but it just seems lazy and sloppy. Sandwiches were decent but the philly cheesesteak only had cheese on... half of the sandwich. The cajun candied BLT was made to eat like a taco, to eat with the opening facing up. Both were justsloppily made and the bread tasted like it was starting to become stale. Both were not worth $13 considering the size of thesandwich as well. Overall unimpressed but I?m wanting to give it another shot. Read more
