One of my daily spots, the chicken in my Chicago gyro was so juicy, the sauces were amazing, the gyro bread was warm and soft,... and the veggie choices all matched the flavour perfectly. This is an absolute standout doner and gyro place. First time we tried it, and I must say we were really impressed. The Berlin... doner was generous in portion, for both beef and chicken and both the bread, and the doner kebab meats were done perfect. Thefries were ordinary, though. We have had German doner around the world, and I must admit, The Doner and Gyros in Oshawa gets itright. Happy to have discovered it. Read more

Went to this restaurant with my husband first time yesterday. Shawarma itself was good, seating area nice and bright, but the... portions weren't anywhere close to other shawarma restaurants (e.g. Lazeez or Royale shawarma). She was using tongs for thesmall-cut bits of lettuce to make the salad as the base for my shawarma, and tongs for the sliced black olives, building thesalad little by little like it's coming out of her pocket! I asked her to put more salad as this is supposed to be a lunch meal,she said she has to charge me the "small salad" for 4.99 then and put it in a separate bowl, and I agreed. As if she was giveninstructions to watch strictly how much to put in each of those small "paper" bowls they use to serve food dine-in! Like.. I had the original gyros on a pita. Tzatziki sauce, onions and tomato with the lamb-beef meat. The size of the sandwich was... merely 1/2 the size of the other Gyros offered by many other Pita shops in Oshawa. Because of this, the flavour and the textureof the pita bread was way more influential to the overall taste. The pita should merely be the crucible, and in no way ever bethe highlight of any sandwich.
