Limited menu, expensive compared to other casual dining restaurants. BE CAREFUL! They charge a 3% surcharge for using a credit... card, found this out after my credit card was charged. They should advise you of that when they bring the bill. I asked about itand the hostess eventually found it noted on the back of the menu in small print. Other places display it prominently! I wentback the next day to buy a t-shirt for a friend. The hostess said it was 75 cents more if I used a credit card. I told her thatI brought cash, had learned my lesson. After I got home I saw that she charged me the extra 3% anyway. Not worth going back for75 cents, but will not be going back anyway. I?ve only spent maybe 10 minutes here at this rail, though I am enamored with this establishment! The interior of this pub is... engaging, both in decor and the staff. They have a suitable array of meal and snack options while you drink, though on the tadbit pricier side. What you pay extra is the atmosphere. We went there on a Thursday night. We were one of 2 tables in the entire place and 2 people were at the bar. It's never great... to see a completely empty restaurant at 6:30pm. The service was nice but extremely slow. I think it was because our server hadto go make our drinks? I liked the scotch egg, but my husband said it wasn't as good as other places. The fries are amazing! Best fries I've ever had! The buffalo chicken salad was a joke. A lettuce head cut into 4 pieces and had barely anyingredients. My husband picked this place for his birthday and said he was disappointed and will never come back. I liked thefries, so I might come back to eat those. Husband and I have been coming here almost every Friday for almost 2 years. I loved the Shepherds Pie and he loved the Bangers &... Mash. It was something we looked forward to because it was yummy! At that time I would have given a 5* rating. Sadly, therestaurant has recently changed their ingredients and menu. They stopped the cream kale all together! Then they changed the meatfor the bangers. Then they stopped the whiskey carrots. Now today we found out that they started a Summer menu and removedShepherds Pie ????. They added things like guacamole and quesadilla? because, you know, that?s so Irish. I understand that thecurrent state of the world may be causing sourcing issues, so I won?t go down to a 3.
