Menu for Brixton's British Pub in Ottawa, ON

I have been here on a few occasions and have enjoyed myself each time. During my latest visit for lunch, I ordered a cream of... cauliflower soup, quesadillas, and diet pop. My meal was tasty and the service was quite good, so kudos all around. With thatin mind, I should note that with tax and 20% tip included, my bill came to $34. In terms of lunch options on Spark Street thisis definitely among the more expensive places, so if you want something cheap this may not be the place for you. "SORRY ABOUT THE SALMONELLA" :) Wow, has this place ever gone downhill. This used to be a decent hangout under the old regime.... Now, the customer service is OVER-THE-TOP rude and obnoxious, and the food tastes like something that would come out of eitherend of a cat or dog. Location wise this restaurant is nice. There are lots of old buildings nearby and its fairly quiet as it is on a walking street.... The patio is sizeable. The food was very underwhelming, which was surprising because I have been seeing Brixton's on SparksStreet for years and its usually busy. The Swiss Burger was pretty tasteless, I ate it without complaint because it took awhileto come to the table and I was very hungry. The fish was very small, which is definitely not what I'd expect from a British pub.The beer selection is decent, I would go back for pints if I was on Sparks. However, like most restaurants and stores on thiswalking street it's a pricey experience. The server was kind and dealt with setbacks well and professionally.
